To qualify for the Cyprus Permanent Residency fast-track route, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Purchase a new-build property valued at €300,000 + VAT

    Must be a first-sale property purchased directly from a licensed developer.

  2. Transfer full payment from abroad

    Funds must originate outside Cyprus and be supported by bank documentation.

  3. Provide proof of €50,000 annual income, plus increments per dependent

    Can include employment income, pensions, dividends, rental income, or other verifiable sources.

  4. Maintain a €50,000 fixed deposit in a Cyprus bank

    Deposit must remain secured for a minimum of three years following approval.

  5. Submit supporting documentation demonstrating financial stability

    Includes valid passports, police clearance certificates, and comprehensive health insurance.

Can I work in Cyprus with permanent residency?

Does this lead to citizenship?
Permanent residency does not automatically lead to citizenship. However, after maintaining legal residence for 7 years and meeting additional requirements, you may become eligible to apply for Cypriot citizenship through naturalization.
